A long-lived (i.e. perennial) shrubby plant native to Mexico and Central America. Caribbean Agave is an evergreen spreading succulent plant growing up to 1.2 m tall and wide, with a dense rosette and classic rounded appearance. Very large leaves are long and narrow and have whitish/yellowish toothed margins. They form very large rosettes with a protruding coloured spike.
When in bloom, which in this succulent is after at least 10 years and frequently much later, flowering spikes can shoot 3.5 m into the sky.
