Common Names: Chain Plant, Inch Plant, Striped Inch Plant, Window’s Tears, Day Flower
Description: A ground cover that shoots short stems upright and tight overlapping, fleshy leaves. The stems and under side of the leaves are a dark streaked purple and the tops of the leaves are green. The leaves grow along the stems on opposite sides on each other.
Flowers: Small bright lilac-pink flowers that bloom in summer and last only for one day, opening in the morning and closing in the afternoon.
Size: Ground cover plant, leaves reach up to 3 cm long and up to 2 cm wide. Flowers sprout approx. 3-5 cm above ground.

Positioning: Part to full sun
Care Instructions: This plant prefers part shade and makes a good indoor plant under good conditions. Position must be in bright filtered light and potted into either a soil-less mix or loam-based potting compost. Bring the plant out during spring and summer days for some sun and keep moist, but water sparingly in winter.
