Crested Jeweled Crown

Pachyverias are hybrids of the Echeveria and Pachyphytum plants. Bred to be easy care and stunningly colourful, this adorable succulent is highly sought after! Its pretty pastel colouring changes hue depending on the time of year, so it looks amazing in hanging baskets or pots on a sunny windowsill, or it also work well in a rock garden or a succulent wall. Its thick, fleshy leaves are powder blue-grey with mildly pointy, blunt leaf tips. Tips and margins have a pinkish blush most noticeable when grown in full sun. Reaching around 15cm high with 6cm wide rosettes bearing bell-shaped orangey-red flowers that are tightly clustered near the pendent tip.

Pachyveria doesn’t like the cold, but tolerates high heat and strong sun. It also doesn’t mind poor soil conditions if well draining and is tough enough to handle intense sun to partial sun. Overwatering is the danger with Pachyveria and leaves will rot if water is allowed to collect on them.
