The Supergrandiflora series of cultivars was bred in Thailand by crossing Madagascan natives Euphorbia lophogona with Euphorbia millii, with selections made for strong color and large flower bracts. This one is known as Yellow Thai Giant Crown of Thorns, or simply Crown of Thorns, Yellow. A succulent evergreen spurge featuring clusters of huge yellow flowers in a showy display, it is also enjoyed for its attractive big elliptical leaves.
Grows about 60 -90 cm high and is perfect for containers or in a rock garden. Place in full sun or light shade and water minimally.
NOTE: Euphorbia’s are for ornamental purposes only. The milky sap can be toxic and can cause adverse reactions if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Do not ingest. Euphorbias do not typically require pruning or maintenance, but take care when handling.
