Double Flaming Katy

Kalanchoe blossfeldiana cv. Calandiva, also known as Double Flaming Katy, is a cultivar renowned for its vibrant and abundant blooms. It features double-flowered blossoms, which means each flower head has multiple layers of petals, creating a lush and full appearance. The flowers come in a variety of colors including red, pink, orange, and white, making it a versatile choice for adding a splash of color to any setting.

This plant is native to Madagascar but has been widely cultivated and is popular as a houseplant. It prefers well-drained soil and a sunny location, but it can tolerate partial shade. It is relatively low-maintenance, requiring minimal water, making it a suitable choice for novice gardeners.

Notable for its long-lasting blooms, it is often chosen for its aesthetic appeal and is commonly used as a decorative plant in homes and gardens. However, it is toxic if ingested, so caution is advised if there are pets or small children around.

In terms of uses, aside from its ornamental value, it doesn’t have any significant applications, but its vibrant and long-lasting blooms make it a popular choice for adding color to indoor and outdoor spaces.
