General Botanical Information

As a rainforest cactus, Hatiora salicornioides prefers more humidity and shade than desert cacti. It’s adapted to grow in tree crevices and mossy bark. Its growth habit is loosely upright to trailing, and it responds well to bright filtered light. The segmented stems may root from nodes, making propagation easy.

Care Description

Best in a bright spot out of direct harsh sun. Water when the top half of the soil is dry and provide a well-draining mix. Loves hanging baskets or quirky planters. Protect from frost and avoid overwatering.
