The Dwarf Hedgehog Agave, also known as Agave striata, is a slow-growing succulent that is native to Mexico. It is a small, compact plant that forms a rosette of narrow, pointed leaves that grow up to 30 cm in length and 1.5 cm in width. The leaves are gray-green in color and are lined with small teeth along the edges. The plant is typically 20 to 30 cm tall and 30 to 60 cm wide at maturity.

This agave is a hardy plant that is well-suited for growing in pots or in rock gardens. It requires well-draining soil and full sun to thrive. The plant can tolerate temperatures down to -5°C and is drought-tolerant, making it an ideal choice for low-maintenance gardens.

In the summer months, the Dwarf Hedgehog Agave produces a tall stalk that can grow up to 60 cm in height, topped with clusters of yellow flowers that attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Once the flowers have bloomed, the plant will produce small bulbils or offsets, which can be propagated to produce new plants.
