The Gold Tooth Aloe, also known as Aloe mitriformis, is a medium-sized succulent that can add a touch of beauty and uniqueness to any indoor or outdoor space. Native to South Africa, this plant can thrive in tropical climates with proper care.
This Aloe typically grows up to 30cm tall and forms open rosettes of blue-green leaves lined with blunt spines. As the plant matures, the leaves turn a beautiful golden color, adding a stunning contrast to the foliage. While the Gold Tooth Aloe may have fewer leaves than some other varieties of Aloe, it makes up for it with its larger and broader foliage.
In the summer, the Gold Tooth Aloe will produce large clusters of pretty red-orange tubular flowers on top of a tall 2m stem, which may have multiple branches. To care for this plant, it is important to allow the soil to dry out between deep watering and to keep it drier in the winter. With the right care, the Gold Tooth Aloe can be a low-maintenance and impressive addition to any succulent collection.
