Gollum

Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’, commonly known as Gollum Jade, is a unique succulent with tubular, trumpet-shaped leaves that appear to be tipped with a suction cup. The leaves are green with a hint of red along the edges, giving it a distinct appearance.

Native to South Africa, this plant thrives in well-drained soil and prefers bright light. It’s often found in rock gardens and desert landscapes, reflecting its natural habitat. Being drought-tolerant, it requires minimal watering, making it a popular choice for low-maintenance gardens.

Notable for its ornamental appeal, Gollum Jade is often used in decorative pots and indoor arrangements. Its unusual appearance makes it a conversation starter and a focal point in many settings.

While generally considered safe, it’s worth noting that Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’ can be toxic to pets if ingested. Care should be taken to place it out of reach of animals, and caution should be exercised when handling the plant.
