Little White Soldiers

Little White Soldiers have a quirky charm, this quite fast-growing evergreen to semi-deciduous groundcover forms a small clump only around 12cm tall and wide. Native to South Africa, its thick green succulent leaves are speckled in dark green to almost black leopard-like spots. It features tight clusters of little white flower buds that are aromatic, but the plant is typically grown for its attractive foliage.

The African Hosta also makes a great pot filler, being suitable as an indoor plant as it is tolerant of dark spots and likes a dry, shady position. Also works well as edging or for mass planting. Provide well-draining soil and moderate watering. Sometimes called Little White Soldiers in reference to the white flower stalks.
