Mexican Snowball

Commonly called White Mexican Rose and Mexican Snowball, the latter because of the icy blue colour of the rosettes, this is a slow-growing, dense, evergreen species from Mexico. An attractive, hardy plant, it produces tight rosettes of silver green or blue spoon-shaped leaves with pinkish leaf edges and small and pretty flowers coloured pink with a yellowish tint.. The low-growing, compact rosettes are usually around 25cm in size and form mounds, spreading to fill surrounding areas.

Perfect as groundcover, to form delicate silvery-blue borders, as well as in containers, it is easy care when planted in full sun to light shade, and in soil with decent drainage. Water moderately when growing but not when dormant.
