Red Echeveria

Known as “Red Echeveria” or “Plush Plant”, Echeveria harmsii is a succulent evergreen sub-shrub native to Mexico. It boasts beautiful foliage—green, silver-velvet covered leaves with pink tips—which form small fleshy rosettes. But it is most often admired for its flowers, large urn-shaped bright orange blooms which attract hummingbirds.

Reaching a size of around 30cm tall and wide, it makes a perfect choice for containers or sun-filled gardens and rockeries, but is less suitable for indoor growing unless in a sun-drenched window. It has low water needs, with the ‘soak and dry’ method best (allowing soil to dry out between waterings). Provide good ventilation and drainage.
